CHOOSING AND ORDERING A MEMORIAL
Initial stages of the ordering process - Whether you choose to order from home, or
visit a showroom, the ordering process will follow the same basic pattern. The
initial information that you require is available here on our website: or if you prefer
you may contact us to request a brochure pack, which contains colour brochures,
price lists and general useful information about purchasing a Memorial. After an
initial brief discussion with us (or email or postal correspondence), we will be able to
give guidance on any Churchyard or Cemetery Regulations that could have a bearing on
or influence your selection. At each subsequent contact we will guide you through and
be there for you every step of the way.
The starting point can be one of our standard designs, or a blank canvas (or a clean
slate!). In either case we will be able to assist you to create an individual and fitting
Memorial to suit your needs, and your budget. We treat every Memorial as a very
special and individual item, and we believe that almost anything is possible. We are
former winners of the "Most Unusual Memorial of the Year" Competition.
A Visit to one of our showrooms - This allows you to see and touch examples of the
different materials that we can offer, along with many of the shapes and designs. You
will be able to appreciate at first hand the quality of our workmanship, and you will
be able to discuss your needs with one of our experienced sales staff. We do
recommend telephoning ahead to ensure that someone is on hand to assist you on your
arrival. Customer parking is available next to the showroom.
Opening Times - Our opening times are 09:00 until 17:00 Monday to Friday, and the
Chesterfield showroom is also open on Saturday mornings 09:00 to 12:00. Out of
hours appointments may be arranged on request.
Ordering from Home (with or without a home visit)
We recognise that some people may prefer the convenience of being able to specify
and order a Memorial from the comfort of their own home, and we offer a personal
service that will allow this; whilst at the same time assisting through the various
stages of the ordering process. If requested, we may also be able to arrange
to visit you at home.
Choosing a Memorial - After the initial consultation, we appreciate that you may
need to take some time to consider your options. The most important thing is that you
make choices that you will always be comfortable with - the Memorial is forever - so
please take as much time as you need over your selection, and ask for advice as often
as you wish. We will never rush you into making a decision. We will always be
there to help and guide you.
Final stages of the Ordering Process.
Once you have chosen (or short listed) the material, style, design and inscription that
you would like, we can prepare a specification and quotation, together with, in most
cases, a computer-generated layout showing how the Memorial may look. This can
be posted, faxed or sent to you via e-mail for your consideration.
The use of e-mail can often allow us to prepare (or amend) a proposal and send it to
you within hours, or even minutes, of you contacting us. This proposal can then be
easily circulated to your family members who can all see for themselves, and therefore
have the opportunity to pass comment and make suggestions of their own. Any adjustments
or revisions that may be needed can be taken care of equally promptly, as required.
When the specification and inscription are finalized - we can draw up a Confirmation
of Order and Permit Application, which are posted out for approval and signatures - even a pre-paid
envelope is supplied for their return to us. Once the Permit is approved, then we can prepare and
fix your Memorial within the time frame that we have agreed with you at the outset.
Various payment methods are available. As well as the usual Cash or Cheques, we
also accept all major credit and debit cards as payment. Please remember that only a
deposit is necessary to secure a Memorial - the remaining balance is not payable until
the work has been completed in accordance with the Order.
